I downloaded Unreal Tournament 2003 yesterday and tried it on my AIW 8500DV. When I play, many of the layers (especially the ground) disappear and reappear, so that you can often see items that should be behind other items. Sometimes it looks great, but usually it is messed up. The textures also flash a lot, which does not happen on the GeForce2 GTS system. Here are two links to screenshots I took:

Has anyone had any similar problems?

Current video drivers are the ATI CATALYST version 6-13-10-6125. I have installed the UT2003 patch, but it did not help. My system specs are below.

For those interested, I am getting about 30 FPS at 800x600 when I am playing (with all of the eye candy on). Smoothvision and Anisotropic Filtering are both set to 2x. The built in benchmark shows 70/40 FPS.

SYSTEM:

Athlon XP 1700+ at 1950
Abit KR7A-RAID
512MB Crucial PC-2100
All in Wonder 8500DV 64MB

Download the latest drivers from ATI, which specifically fix the z-buffer problem for UT2003. I know they have new drivers for their 7xxx series cards (what I have) and those worked for me.

The newest Catalyst drivers did the trick. Looks great, and the built in benchmark at 800x600 is now at 126/50 FPS. Its a noticable difference from the 70/40 FPS with the original Catalyst drivers. ThI used the 6.13.10.6166 release (Sept 9 2002).

Thanks for the help.
