unreal 2003, so who is still playing this? I thought it was terrible when it came out

I've been so tempted to outright buy it, but I feel they changed the weapons for the worst. Lightning gun does "splash" damage somewhat, though.

I like it, but I've gone back to Quake 3 for the most part.

Your rocket launcher is no match for my über shotgun of mass slaughtering. 😀

I can't believe I paid 30 some odd bucks for it.. Haven't played it since. The demo was fun, but there was nothing more than that in the game.

BF1942 p0wnz j00t, and yes that was my wife who sniped you in that last round.
She still plays UT2K3🙂

I agree completely. There is no depth in the game.

My only complaint is that the single player tourney was WAY too short. Multi is still good, but with this case mod I am working on, I haven't touched any game in almost 2 weeks.

Besides, RTCW is still my all time favorite multiplayer game. But I still like UT 2K3.

Is there any depth to a game based on a tournament?

I play it, at least I did when I had a computer to play it on.

Lightening gun is stupid, target enemy, pull trigger, keep enemy targeted, hold, hold, hold, sh|t, missed again.

I still play it quite often. There is a server that I play on that plays Bombing Run with instagib. Its my favorite 🙂

Huh? I just use it like a rail gun... point, click... dodge until recharges then point, click... still, I prefer the shock rifle in most cases. Head shots are difficult enough to not be something to count on to kill... and recharge time is killer with the lightning.

aha yeah me2....i like bombing runs.....deathmatch got kinda old........instagib for some reason = fun..aha..

Well, not really depth, but the deisre to PLAY it. Like with UT, I just wanted to keep playing it. UT2k3 just seemed like it was the same game, but worse, somehow.

Bought it, played it a couple times, etc...it just doesn't seem quite as fun as the original, though if you compare the actual specs of the game, it blows away the original by far.

:::shrug:::

I think if UT2k3 was the only game in the series, it would be that much better. Of course, other games don't help its cause.

I could have been far worse . . . you might have paid full price for both UT2003 AND Unreal II.

😛

😀

Not me . . . although I did finish Unreal II . . . can't wait for Return to Na Pali II . . . 😛
(seriously solid graphics)
