Someone told me it was short and I got stuck so I downloaded a walkthrough. If the walkthrough is the whole game I am on the last mission?!? The one with the annoying spiders like the second actual planet I am on? I am sure that can't be it. or I am taking it back and demanding a refund.
As for my review so far, it's a lot of eye candy and not much else. After playing games like GTA3 (not a FPS but in the same sort of market) NOLF and NOLF2 and Morrowind, I think it's time there be more to a FPS then just walk over guns and ammo and auto pick it up and shoot everything that moves. I do like the way you have the firefight with the marines where you have to avoid friendly fire. I think these games need more realisim, like searchable corpses (but it takes time to search time in which you can get killed) and bad as I am at it, stealth missions are fun too. Morrowind has proven that a first peson shooter can be good graphics but intense and detailed engaging gameplay. Unreal 2's graphics are phenomenal but all that does is make everyone buy new hardware every six months. Don't get me wrong I like pretty games, but I think the emphasis should be on engaging and immersive gameplay and then on improved graphics second. I wouldn't mind if my videocard would last a year at least, especially if it means games that are more fun.
