I can tell you this doesn't fix all the problems... I installed it, and while it seemed to work, I started having the same problems.. Sounds when people were talking kept echoing, and then I started having the lock ups again...

They say that they will have a patch up for some of the other problems soon...


Just wanted to pass it on..

Thanks. I'll try this when I get home. I had to disable eax or it would crash every time like clockwork.

EAX didn't crash for me.. but, for example, when talking with my crew and walking around while they are talking the speech volume wasn't very proportional to where I was standing. ie. louder when further away.. and then soft when I was near them sometimes.

Read somewhere that the file is installed into the system folder but it's called the wrong name. You just need to rename it I think.
