Out of curiousity, is there anyway to modify the login screen so that it shows the message count from Outlook XP? NOT Outlook Express, folks. :p

Thanks.

Not sure how this can be done, but I do think its possible. I havent used Outlook Express in two years, but the 'Unread Messages' on the login screen has now started showing up occasionally since I switch to Mozilla Thunderbird. Neat :D

Yeah, same here. I can't really understand the practical use of it though...you need to start Thunderbird to download any new messages so I check them there and then hencing marking them 'Read'. It'd be nice if it could automatically check the number of messages before you log on.

My unread messages show from MSN Messenger. Think it reads them of your .Net passport if you have one.

I have Outlook set to check new mail every half-hour, so while I have my computer locked, it is very possible to recieve new mail. And while I love using Mozilla/Firebird as my browser and will never change, I'm only going to use Outlook for my mail.
