unquenchable thirst

Anyone else ever just randomly seem to get an unquenchable thirst? Sucks when it's late at night and forces you to get up randomly in the night to piss.
Normally chugging a 20oz bottle will make me feel good as far as intake goes, but some times I feel like I could go for an entire gallon in a very short period of time.
hmm, I love water. Especially when I throw some propel mix in it or am just drinking straight powerade or gatorade.

Happens to me too. I think it's a sign of kidney problems or diabetes.

I'm always thirsty. I drink a lot of fluids all day long.

i get that maybe once every 3 months. I've found that eating a small snack while drinking a 20oz or so bottle of water helps.

Would diabetes show up out of the blue in two or three years? Back about 2 or 3 years ago, I had a lot of blood tests done in attempts to determine the source of what ended up being a 2 month long headache (at the time it had been 2 weeks of excruciating pain, that died down to a lingering annoying headache for the remainder of that time frame).
regardless, aren't their other signs? Oh and I guess it should be mentioned that back in high school all I ever drank was pop and other crap and now all I ever drink is water and the occasional can of pop if with pizza or a hankering for that taste, but that's like.. twice a week, at most. love me the watery stuff.

come to think of it, I am normally only feeling really parched when I am really hungry too. And right now, I'm really hungry. I should fix that.

Happened to me once when I had an infection that I think effected my kidneys. I was incredibly thirsty, and I drank gallons and gallons of water, and pure water would come out of the other end, while I was getting dehydrated. After a while, my lips were dry, I was palpitating, and then my sweat started to smell like urine. Of course the doc at the ER said I just had an anxiety attack. Anxiety makes you sweat piss? Yeah right.

Could be ketoacidosis, which might mean adult-onset diabetes.

Or maybe it's lupus.
