What do you mean you want to UNPARTITION?

Do you mean Repartition?
Do you mean format in some strange way?
Do you mean change the partition sizes?

What OS?

In XP
control panel
admin tools
computer management
disk manager - As long as you are not trying to do anything too harsh to the os hdd

Do you want to keep data that is on both partitions, or are you willing to reinstall from scratch.
Is this a system drive [with the os on it]

PLEASE GIVE More information if you want any help

there are a few files in the first half but i don't really care if the files are gone. It's an external HD and i'm mainly going to use it to store data such as movies.

forgot to mention that i have xp sp2

get partition magic and you can merge the drves together. or, if you dont mind losing all your data, go to control panel>administrative tools>computer management>disk management and delete both partitions, and format the entire drive. only do this if you back up the drive, or dont mind losing everything on it. i hope you can find that, because i have win2k, and disk management might be in a differnet place in winxp.

partition magic will allow you to delete one partition (with all the data by the way) then expand the remaining partition to use the space just freed up by deleted partition.
