Unpaid parking tickets

I got 2 parking tickets. the first when I got jury duty and parked in a space that was not designated for jurors. The second I got when I forgot to validate my parking at a BART parking lot. Both tickets said that if that if I don't pay the tickets they will hold my car registration.

Well, I got into a car accident where I totaled my car a while back. Well I took all my stuff out of the car and my car was towed to some storage yard and I guess either sold at auction or sent to a junk yard. Well, when I took my stuff out of the car I left the 2 parking tickets in the car by mistake. Now I don't know who or how or where to pay the tickets.

For both tickets I have not recieved a courtesy notice in the mail, the tickets said they wouldn't send them. My question is can I go to the DMV and pay the tickets...And I'm going to buy a new car soon so will they not allow me to registar my new car because I have outstanding tickets on my old car.

Also has anyone here ever not pay a parking ticket that holds your registration? Did they send you any kind of notice before your registartion renewal?
 
My car was totalled while sitting outside the body shop waiting to be towed to a yard, and a cop issued 2 tickets 30 minutes apart, I just paid one and got the second in the mail. The car is not mine anymore, and the ticket was kinda bogus, what can I do?

I don't think it was police who issued the tickets, I think it was some sort of parking enforcement person. but for both tickets they said they'd hold my car registration so I'm worried they won't let me registar a new car since my old one is gone

that sucks, the cop must have been a jerk...talk about adding insult to injury. Plus I don't think they can issue you more than 1 ticket per day
