I am anxious, angry, and agitated.
I'm also hopeful, since there is a lot of common ground between democraps and republicants. Maybe some of the less polarizing things can get fixed/improved, it will make it easier to swallow the things we don't like.

Infrastructure improvement, bring it on!
Changes to tax code and regulations which may help corporations but also are pro-worker .... OK, lets do it!
Getting Boeing and other companies with big govenment or military contracts to make things in a more cost effective way will in the long run help the companies to be more competitive on the international market & will save US taxpayers some $$$.

So, while I absolutely disdain and loath the very fiber of Trumps being, I still see some good that can come out of things.

Well said, I agree

There is a lot of common ground between healthy and cancer cells, but the differences are more important.

I gotta think The Great Republican God, Ronnie Rayguns is rolling over in his grave over the Republicans electing a Russian sycophant into our nation's highest office...and he brings with him a Soviet-born wife.

how will this play out? I don't know, but I don't have high hopes for it working out well for the "average American." I'm sure his big bizness buddies will make LOTS of money...and "we the people" will once again get left holding the bag.

I'm fairly sure the Trump supporters will be disappointed when The Donald doesn't actually deport 11 million illegal immigrants...or actually build the border wall he's talked so much about...but they'll dismiss it as campaign rhetoric and forget his promises...because...at least he's not Hildabeast!

I predict just like Regan he'll leave massive deficits which people will be bitching about in 2040.

The nasty liberal facts say the economy always does better under the Dems...they fix the economy, get it running nice and strong...the idiots elect Republicans who proceed to fuck it up and send the economy into a tail-spin and often into an out-right recession. But, of course, that's just librul spin...

For what it's worth, I hope to hell I'm wrong. I wish Trump luck in the job. I hope he can accomplish his stated goals of bringing jobs back to the USA and eliminating/reducing illegal immigration.

I may be a Democrat, but I'm an American first...

Meh I'd like for him to succeed but its clear he lacks the characteristics to actually do so. Its not even clear how he will govern effectively with the lawsuits left and right being prepared against him in which he will constantly be tied up in.

Oh and he didn't do anything about his conflicts of interests either which is highly disturbing because they actually endanger us all.

At this point I pretty much have thrown up my hands and find solace in historical precedents that people's political preferences shift against the incoming president almost immediately. Elections have consequences and a lot of people today are just realizing this. I wonder if trump will break the record for lowest approval rating at point during his term?

Inauguration day has always been special to me. I've watched them all, for as long as I can remember. Today will be no different. We'll be doing the usual celebration, having close friends over, grilling, drinking, etc. Feeling very well and optimistic. It's gonna be a great day! The peaceful transition is a good thing always, vs, the alternative.

Of all the Inaugurations I've seen, this one was different.
Never have I see the losing party followers act so Un-American as this time.
The ruling class of both Parties has ruined America because they are owned by the Corporations.
Whether it survives is very much in question at this point in time because Trump is Corporation.
It's been all downhill for ordinary Americans since about 1973 and don't see a chance yet of it going back up.

Unamerican? Really? Really?! You're reducing world wide protests to partisan politics? Open your eyes my friend. This is not the first GOP president to ever take office.
