Unofficial Race countdown & Infopage

I created a simple Infopage for the race this morning.

It hosts a countdown, stats and news and links to the optimized apps.

I'll work on some improvements and a better design this evening!

Please check it out!

yeah, things are looking up for my contributions, too. I finally got my buddy to understand how IMPORTANT it is to keep that A64 4000+ crunching when his son isn't playing on it. I almost sent over tony montana, but, fortunately, that proved unnecessary in the end. Also, it now appears that my opteron 180 system just needed a nice dose of "winxp pro" to make it feel better.

Yeah, Win XP pro is - IMHO - the most stable BOINC-platform I have tried (all Win from 3.1 to 95 to Vista, Linux Red Hat, OpenSuse, Ubuntu).

@petrusbroder: how did you manage to install boinc on opensuse, I have troubles doing so.

Manually and - to be quite honest - I do not know. I just created the correct directories, copied the files into them and started.
It was some time ago ... in May 2006. Sorry, I do not have a log. I just follwed the instructions I found somewhere.
It worked - but was not stable: BOINC disconnected from the 'localhost' quite often and thats why I quit and started using Ubuntu (and its derivatives). Those work perfectly OK.
