There's a 2.0C? Hrmf...

I'd really like to see this thread get some action, as I too am going to be buying a 2.xC system within the next two weeks. Where are all the AnandTech vets?

Can people put if they have a retail or OEM cpu? Im trying to see if there is a difference
My 2.4C results are as follows
2.4C + Abit IC7 + Twinmos/Winbond Ch-5 chip 1gb = 3ghz/250/200 stable because the IC7 hates Winbond CH-5 memory for some reason.
2.4C + Asus P4P800 + Twinmos/Winbond CH-5 chip 1gb = Dunno, the motherboard fried every component sans hd's in my system.

Got mine yesterday and it looks like it's a gem 😀

Processor stock speed: Retail 2.4C
sSpec code: SLW6F

Hmmm.. it posts at 3.6 GHz/300/200 using the stock cooler @ 1.625V (1.57 actual)... I like it 😀

i dropped the voltage a bit and was able to hit above 300FSB! i havent tested with the game accelerator settings changed to a bit higher....and i'm not positive if the read delay is set to 5T or Auto....but everything else is right.

Can u guys also edit the kind of ram that is running..that is another important note for prospective buyers

edit: also what store and was it retail or not..

the reason is that some come w/ lower stock volatages (better o/c)..

i am more or less set on a 2.8C w/ 1 GB ocz 3700Gold , Abit IS7...but i want to know the best place to get the 2.8 C from .. thanks guys!
