First of all, you have to launch the ball (the space ship). Notice the flashing lights along the rail guide of the launch. If you pull the plunger just enough to hit it and light 3 lights, you make 75 000 points (Skill Shot) right off. Nice start, eh? The ball empties into the play area by means of a small ledge just outside the first light on the rail.

After the ball is in play, notice the text in the lower-right box. It reads, "Hit Mission Targets to Select Mission". That means you haven't selected a mission yet. To do so, get the ball to hit the three lights (arranged in a vertical line) that are indicated in the center, to the left. They're just outside the crook made by the purple ramp.

Each of the lights is a separate mission. The top one is launch training, the middle is re-entry training, and the bottom one is target practice.

Launch training is when you have to put the ball up the purple ramp. You'll have to do this 3 times. Not very hard.

Re-entry training is when you have to have the ball either light up or turn off the light in the little gates that have yellow lights in the center. There is a set of three at the very top, where if you hit the ball hard enough on the beginning launch, the ball goes. The other set is right above the blue and white attack bumpers, just below and left of the purple ramp. Not very hard.

Target practice is when you have to have the ball hit the attack bumpers. Attack bumpers are the ones that light up in the center and seem to sink. There's only one set, the red and white ones at the top. If you happen to select this mission, you have to have them hit the ball 8 times. Easiest mission of all.

Finish any of these, and you'll pop a nice 500 000 points.

After you do the first set of missions, new missions come up. Working on those.
