Hi,

I want to overclock my 900mhz Tbird to 1ghz. Most people recommend that I close the L1 bridges. But the question I have is, how do I remove the thermal compound and the sink heat on top of the cpu? It rigidly attached to the cpu. Can anyone help?

I mean is it too late now? Well I think it couldn't be too late because many people change their their heatsink and they have to remove the old heatsink somehow.

BTW, were is my current setting:
(abit KT7)
900mhz
100x9
100/33
core voltage 1.750v
i/o voltage 3.30v

Thank You

Just pull, and try to keep the HS parallel to the core to not crack it.

At your risk, but I heard of no-one that cracked is core this way, usuaay is puctting th HSF back on.

Oh, yes, the clip: completely forgot about that.
Yoy might have to use a screwdriver if it's too hard for a finger, but BE CAREFUL not to scratch the motherboard ( scratched = dead = treash = new motherboard) .
