Has anyone heard any updates on this?

In AT's review, they said one of the pixel-pipeline quads and one of the vertex shaders were *disabled*, but not physically removed. This could lead to people unlocking them using Coolbits. I haven't yet heard anything, but I was wondering if anyone else had. 🙂
 
I'm not sure. In the review, it also says that they used a different PCB..... Maybe the PCB was specially designed to prevent unlocking? I dunno!
 
Over at TweaksRUs, they tried to do it, and it failed. This lead them to believe that the pipes are laser-cut at the factory, making it to where it is impossible to unlock the pipes 🙁 🙁 . Oh well. Its still a fast card 😉 .
