Unlocking TBird Athlon

Ive read through a few guides on unlocking the TBird Athlon/Duron. When I tried it out on a friend's Duron 850, it didnt seem to allow me to change the multiplier afterwards. I used a standard #2 HB pencil, and did connect the L1 bridges as the websites had shown. The graphite marks werent touching each other.

Has anyone else had problems with the pencil trick?

Try drawing the lines darker. Or use a different pencil.

try using a softer pencil... usually softer means more graphite and more graphite usallly means better conductance. Oh.. and make sure your lines are acually touching the L1 bridges.... sometimes they can kinda "skip" over the bump of the bridge so they won't properly connect
