I tried it on a Morgan core Duron using a pencil to connect the bridges and it worked. WCPUID says it's a Mobile Duron and I can change the multiplier from 3 to 11 in Windows with the software from that website. This was on a Via KM266 m/b. The website says most Via and Sis chipset boards are supported, but not many Nforce boards. For those you can try the NVIDIA System Utility instead, but only a few boards support the System utility for changing multipliers.

I have a superlocked Barton 2500+ too. It's harder to connect the laser cut bridges and the pencil trick didn't work on that one and I haven't tried any other ways yet like the window defroster paint. If you can connect them it'll act like a Mobile Athlon XP. WCPUID will show if it worked or not. The other question then is if you have a compatible m/b. Good luck.

BTW new user here. Just joined. Hi everybody.

wait.. are you saying that this method doesn't unlock multipliers if your motherboard doesn't support it ? i.e NF2?

It doesn't unlock the multipliers you set in the BIOS. It enables the PowerNow multiplier changing function that laptops use for power saving. You can't use the laptop Powernow utilities for changing mult because those depend on a BIOS table that desktop boards don't have. CPUMSR can do it without the BIOS table, but not on Nforce boards right now. The max multiplier is 11x without some pin mods. So this may or may not be useful for you.

There's some more discussion here.
