I am just wondering, for anyone lucky (and rich) enough to get one of these new 7800GT badboys if you have been successful in unlocking any features. I know PCI-E cards have traditionally been unsuccessful in unlocking anything but I'd just like to know. Thanks.

you should wait a couple weeks for most people to buy the card and test them theirselves...

btw if your looking to buy the new 7800GT, i'd advise you not to because you already have a x850Xt PE, which is still VERY VERY good.

O haha yes I understand. I actually just got my X850XT PE today coz I can't run any dx9 games very well (I had a FX5600). I wasn't looking to upgrade my computer, really. I was just interested as to whether people could unlock pipes on the new GT :p.

lol, you should always let the "rich" people do all of the "testing" first

That would be interesting if you could unlock the 6th pipeline quad and the last vertex shader. From what I can see, an OC'd 7800GT can easily keep pace with a 7800GTX. With the pipes and shader unlocked, we could be looking at the Value VX of graphics cards. :D

Us plebians are better off not paying super premiums just for the heck of it.
