Hi

I bought a nvidea 6200 made by evga.. cheap from newegg. all i can afford. beats the heck out of my ati 9200SE.....i know there is supposed to be a utility to unlock the other 4 pipelines...so its the same as a 6600..my question is.. is it risky? especially since it just uses a heatsink for cooling... any opinions?.... also what is the utlity called if its risk free?

Doubt it. Only the very first 6200s were made on the 6600 core (nv43?), they've all been made on the proper 6200 core (nv44?) for a VERY long time mate. For example, i bought one about this time last year to tide me over, and it was the 6200 core...

Anyway, google the matter & try using Rivatuner iirc, but i think you are out of luck :(
