Hello all, my friend moved from USA to Canada.
He has Samsung x497 from Cingular.

Now in Canada he has Rogers carrier.

How to unlock it to work with Canadian sim cards and such?
He unlocked other phone by entering a code. Where can he find a code for this phone?

TIA.

1. insert T-mobile sim card or Roger Sim card as long as not ATT/Cingular.

2. at the "wrong card" screen press *2767*3855# ( it will reboot.)

3. After reboot, it looks like it is ready, but YOU MUST GO Step 4.

4. Now press *7465625*638*00000000*00000000# (some message will pop up and disappear)

5. Now press #7465625*638*00000000# (message about network lock INACTIVE)

To varify if it is unlocked press *#7465625#
