Unlocking Motorola V400 for Verizon

Hey guys,

You may have read my post a couple days back about how I dropped my phone in the fish tank (don't ask) and now I need a new one. Well, I was originally looking at a PDA, but the price is too steep for me at the moment. So this is the thing. I got my hands on a Motorola V400 for free, which unfortunetly uses GSM, and not CDMA. The second problem is, I don't have a SIM card for the phone, because the original user moved it to his new one. So this is my question. Can I just buy a SIM card from Verizon and it will work? Does Verizon even sell SIM cards?

If not, can I "Unlock" my phone and open it up to Verizon's network? Is Verizon going to freak out if I do that?

Thanks again guys.

So there is no viable solution and I am going to have to end up buying a new phone?

What you want to do is like trying to play a Beta tape in a VHS VCR. Not possible and CDMA does not use sim cards.
