Unlocking Digital Flat Panel NV settings?

Hey all,

i just got a samsung 915N .. 1280x1024 blah blah blah 8 ms

for newer games though my rig wont be too savvy at this resolution... and i heard about the "black bars" fixed ratio scaling crap that people do on their Dell beasts..

is there a way i can unlock these settings for this analog monitor? ... the DVI version of this monitor was 100$ more so i didnt bother with it... well , it was also 4 ms

coolbits 2 would do the job but i don't know if the black bars fix work

cause for 2005fpw and 2405fpw...i know the monitor has built in scaler of 1:1, fill, or aspect

yea i was wondering if i could do this... so i can revert to 1280x960 or even 1024x768
.. especially in fear

scaling looks horrid

well....if it can't...then it's time to get a dell! 😉

dell provides nothing good except for their widescreen lcds!

no way in heck im gonna get a dell for less than i got this ... 370 + 7% tax.. when paid in cash

CDN dollars FTW!

im in debt to my parents for getting this monitor.. and its AMAZING compared to my old CRT so im already really happy with it

went from 17 inch CRT .. so like 15~16 viewable 1024x768@75Hz.. to this 19 inch viewable 1280x1024 was golden..

this monitor can blind me with brightness lol.. i have it running at 0 Brightness 100 Contrast

Go to "Digital Flat Panel Settings" in NVIDIA Forceware. Check the box next to ?Fixed aspect ratio scaling.? Click "Apply."

I don't think the "Digital Flat Panel Settings" in NVIDIA Forceware will work with an analog connection. You can try it, but I would guess that ?Fixed aspect ratio scaling? will be grayed out.
