Unlocking BIOS features on HP pavillion dv5200tx

I am using hp pavillion dv5200tx laptop. I wanna unlock all BIOS features which are available only to technicians. Its an OEM Phoenix BIOS. How do I do it?

From what I know of Dells, you can't. Any Bios that is released is A rev, and had debugger code and debug information compiled into no-ops. Everythign that would be useful would require an experimental BIOS (X-rev) which is compiled with full debugger support.

There aren't magical ways to do these things.

Do Dells and HPs use the same BIOS?

Why would you compile a BIOS - for RELEASE - with debug code?
Slow chipset FTL
Yes, his point is that in general, when releasing a piece of software like that they don't build "extra" functions into it. The only people with BIOSes that have features for adjusting hardware settings like that are the engineers and testing groups who certify these machines.

OP, just give up. The only way you can overclock a laptop is by software and the software has to support your hardware. Such software does not exist for the Napa platform to my knowledge.

The best shot you have is doing a pin-mod that changes the processor's FSB from 533 to 667; as some were able to do with Dothan's on a 915 chipset going from 400 to 533. When someone gets bored enough or OEM 533 processors become more prevalent, that very well could happen.
