unlocking a 2600+ Barton

I just bought a Barton 2600+, a week 37 model which I thought would be unlocked. Unless I am doing something wrong I got a locked model. Is there a mod that will unlock this model. I want to run 200fsb but I doubt it will run 2300mhz when I receive my DDR3200. This blows :-(

There's no way to unlock it. AMD locked the new Bartons internally.

even if it is locked, that just means you can't change the cpu multiplier. so if you want to run 200 fbs and have ddr3200, you shouldn't have any problems at all. you might have to tweak vcpu, but dont' worry about locked/unlocked

11.5. almost positive.

2500+ has the 11 multiplier
