unlocking 1800+ TbredB JIUHB wierd L3 bridges

Hi all
I need some urgent help. I was on my way o unlock my new 1800+ JIUHB Tbred-B with the help of some guides that stated to simply conect the last L3 bridge. The problem is my chips L3 bridges are O-C-C-C-C... I've never seen this configuration before... The L3 bridges i see in the guides are usually O-C-O-C-O... any ideas?

my mobo is an Epox 8k3ae
512 DDR @171
ati radeon 9700pro

thnx

Most Tbreds are unlocked. You probably don't have to do anything but set the multiplier in the CMOS. Don't forget to set the FSB for your CPU. Most boards start with the default @ 100 MHz.

Why do ppl continue to do the mods where they have to cut bridges or fill them in, when it seems the cpu pin wire method is far more simple and not so permanent???

Thnx Harvey and 0roo0roo,
I was under the impression that you could only raise the multiplier under nforce2 and via kt400 chipsets

next problem:
The bios will only allow me to raise the mult to 12.5x.... if i raise it to 14x or 15x.. it shows up as being at 5x and 5.5x.. obviously >12.5x is locked , and ideas on how to unlock it

PS. Duvie.. and good links to that wire method ?

thnx

I thought the cut method would be easier, and I would say it was. Two cuts and a continuity test later, bingo!

The chip was cheap and I have two spares, so I considered it a good bet.

I don't know about your board, but on most boards, TRY the WIRE MOD FIRST. I see a lot of failed pin mod chips sold for cheapies. Good luck to you; my 8rda+ gives me 12x on my 1700+
