Unlocked Tbird 1.2 and up

I've read a lot about the latest (AXIA?) Tbirds coming multiplier unlocked from AMD, is this true? If so, when did this start ... with the 266 MHz fsb?

no, the first i noticed it was with the 1.2ghz chips (before they made 266 chips)

but you can find factory unlocked chips in the 1ghz - 1.33ghz range (not all of them are unlocked, but many of the newer ones are)
