unlocked T-Bird????

Hey,
I just pulled my Duron 650@1000 out of my MOBO A7V and bedded a 750 T Bird in its place.Set all to jumper free to boot and it booted fine at 750.shut down to go into jumper mode and it will only boot if jumpers are set to 7.5 multiplier,I am assumming it is locked which is disapointing cause was lead to believe it would do A gig no prob.I bought my duron unlocked so Im not sure how to unlock this T Bird,could someone tell or show me how to unlock it,And was it possible for a person to know if it O/C well while it is locked?When I installed it the L1 bridges seemed to be closed using loctite my duron is the same is this how it is unlocked and maybe there is a problem with the closing of the bridges.
Please help Im quite frustrated🙁

You have to close the L1 bridges. You seem to know that already though. Do a search on AnandTech, they have a good guide on how to unluck AMD CPU's.
