I got the phone Monday. I can confirm NO Wi-Fi, also noted here on HTC's updated page comparing the GSM and CDMA versions.
Verizon is marketing this phone as the "XV6900." I have also seen it elsewhere referred to as the "HTC Vogue" ( in fact, the model number listed in the "Identity" tab under "Device Information" is "VOGU100"). HTC still lists it as the Touch.
Note that both the processor (TI OMAP 850 running at 201 HHz vs. Qualcomm MSM7500 running at 400 MHz) and internal memory (128 MB ROM/64 MB DDR vs. 256 MB ROM/128 MB DDR) have been upgraded in the VZ CDMA model. For me, the added speed and memory reduced some of the sting of the Wi-Fi loss.
The interface for both power and data is a mini USB port, so my old power adapters/chargers from my previous phone work flawlessly.
The VZ version is only available in White.
I had some initial concerns with regard to lack of a physical keyboard, but I have already adapted to using both the Touch Keypad with my fingers and the tiny Keyboard with the stylus.
The "6900" is available on VZW website, and should be in stores soon... though the original launch date was May 1st.
The store that I stopped by yesterday had just gotten their first one in for the employees to train upon, and they were stunned that I already had one in hand. There is a definite WOW factor when people see one for the first time.
