me and a buddy just put together a new computer using a amd phenom II x2 555BE, we unlocked the cores and put it under load for an hour everything was fine, then overclocked it and ended up at 3.8 everything is running fine.

the problem im having may have nothing to do with my cpu but when i was playing mw2 just now for the first time on this machine the game would freeze at times and then i would get D/C from the server, this happened several times till i stoped and a similar thing happened in wow also but it only happened once and it didnt D/C me because it takes alot longer for the game to kick you in that game.

i am running directx11 and the newest ati drivers my card didnt have any problems in my other PC but i was running dx9

heres the systems spec if anyone has any ideas that would be nice, also first time posting so hi =P

If you want to remove doubts about the unlock and OC, then test your OC more, beyond just "putting it under load for an hour".

How did you actually put it under load? That would help. Was it Prime95 Small FFT, OCCT or Linx?

When you overclocked, was it just through the multiplier since that is a BE, or did you also increase the ref clock?

(By the way, since your other thread was locked, perhaps you should restore your OP here, instead of letting it just remain on the locked thread).

Run the 555BE locked and at its stock freq. See if that stops the problems. You do this to make sure that the problem lies with the cpu.

If you no longer get problems, then you can try unlocking and test again. Do this to check if the cores are defective.

If all goes well, you can try OCing and test some more.
