Years ago I used to be the one helping other people with this kind of stuff.... Anyways I have had this computer for over 8 months now(barton 2500+, A7n8x, 512 megs of ram, 9600 pro) I remember I tried overclocking the fasb when i got it with poor results(crappy ram). Now that i got ut2004 i wanted to get more perfomance out of my system so I realised how I had left my cpu at stock speed(never done that before). I have the 11*166 varietey. It works fine all the way up to 12.5*166 but 13 boots as 5* 166. I know that 13 is basically a 5 multiplier that the cpu uses 13 for. My question is is this normal for it to boot at 5x166 instead of 13?

Yup, the A7N8X won't do above 12.5 (only a couple of boards will, and not the A7N8X). You have to play with upping the FSB to go any higher (my A7N8x won't go above 198 and remain prime95 stable). Depends on your CPU and mem to see how high you can go, and at what voltage. But I was able to run my old unlocked Barton 2500+ stable at stock voltage at 12.5*166. My new mobile 2500+ will do 12*198 at stock voltage, or 12.5*198 at a slight boost. :)
