When I first received the chips, I noticed something peculiar that had come up again. On the bottom (pin) side of the chip there was solder connecting some of the pins.
Don't everyone get excited now. IMO he basically bought a
remarked chip. I doubt AMD would go about soldering underneath their chip. If they did such a thing they would make surface traces, or perhaps would make a substrate trace like the Palamino bridges, under a thin layer. Actual solder? C'mon! Sounds like some company got a batch of unlocked slower chips, replaced the label and modded them.
I could be wrong, but solder connecting pins... sheesh.
