Until Saturday, 12/23, Walgreens has ACT II, 3 boxes = $3.18
(http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=18&threadid=6782)
It appears that you do not need the form from specially marked packages that you fill in
with your name, etc and proofs of purchase to get in on this deal. Yesterday I found a
package of Act II popcorn with the Movie Cash Mail in offer that states:
To receive your ActII Movie Cash certificate, fill out a 3x5 card with your name, address
and phone number. Mail that card and the following items to the address listed:
1. Original sales receipt(s)
2. Original proofs of purchase (upc's) from qualifying Act II products.
Send to: Act II Movie Cash Offer
PO Box 9011b
Bridgeport, NJ 08014
The restrictions on this offer is that you may request as many movie certificates as you
wish, but each request, along with the required UPC's and receipt, must be mailed
seperately.
This popcorn can be found for 99 cents a box, and if you find coupons, that means you
have 9 bags of popcorn and an unrestricted movie pass (good for admission up to $9.50)
for $3.32 or less)
I have a rain check for 60 boxes of popcorn at Target. This is for the 6 pack boxes,
which I think is a SUPER HOT DEAL!!!
Movie passes expire on June 30, 2001, and all submissions must be received by
JANUARY 31, 2001.
Qualifying Products:
Act II Microwave Popcorn (multi pack boxes,3 pk or larger)
Act II Carmel Popcorn Crunch (when on sale, about 99 cents)
Act II Carmel with Peanuts Popcorn Crunch
Act II Butter Toffee with Peanuts Popcorn Popcorn
Supreme Butter Toffee Popcorn
(All of the carmel corn must be 8 ounce bags or larger)
Act II Big Softy Pretzel (4 pack or larger)
Act II Snack Mix
***Remember, for each 3 packages of Act II products you purchase, have the ring them
up seperately, so you have the receipts to send in, as per offer requirements)
so far, I have received 21 Movie Passes, and my teenagers, have used 18 of them to
date!!!!!

I suppose this would be a hot deal IF someone would share with the rest of us where you can find these products for .99c.

Not only does this take buying quite a bit of popcorn to obtain, your movie tickets are only good for just over a month. Who's to say this company is going to RUSH order your movie tickets out to you? I guarantee when you get these tickets, they will expire January 30 of next year, which is about 1 1/2 months from now. Please guys, don't waste your money. Movie theatres make about 35 cents profit per paid admission, on the ticket prices. Do you REALLY think they can afford to give these away? The only way movie theatres really profit, after paying all the bills, rent, lease, labor (you have to pay those people who clean the theatres you know), etc, is on concessions! If you bring a date with you to the movies, you and her might spend, who knows, $20! Why do you think a Coke that costs them all of about 5 cents, costs you $3.50? That's their profit. I don't ever buy concessions at theatres, because I'll wait until afterward to go buy it for $1.50 at McDonald's, which I still think is high. Anyhow, good luck on these movie tickets, but theatres purposely give out promo tickets for about 30 days, because they know most people won't even use them within that 30 day period. It looks great for promoters though.

Apparently, divinemartyr, you are confused. June and January are two different months. Sumissions must be received by January 31st, but the TICKETS are good until JUNE 30th. So the tickets are good for around six months- not one. Oooooops.... No big deal, I just wanted to point out that this IS a good deal.

divinemartyr,
I used to run a theatre, and although there is very little profit the first two weeks a movie is out, the profit margin increases as long a movie is in the theatre. As for movie cash, these are used just like checks as far as the theatre is concerned. They just fill out the amount and movie cash pays the money. The theatres are not giving away anything and are still making their cut.

My mistake, the movie passes do expire on June 30. In that case this deal might be good for some people. As far as I'm concerned, I don't like popcorn so I wouldn't really be interested, I'll just pay the money. :p Besides, I only see movies once every month or so.

Good deal amster.

I sent off for 30 of these in October (yep, 270 bags of popcorn!) and received 30 passes within 3 weeks. Boy were my trick or treaters happy! Wife said you can't give them popcorn - they want candy, heard kids shouting in yard all night long "they've got popcorn here!"

Just sent off for 30 more passes last week. Eckerd's drugstore has it on sale now and then for $.99. Been throwing bags of it in with Xmas presents as shipping popcorn! Already heard back from 2 relatives about the popcorn they got, afraid they'll be disappointed I didn't give them a microwave as a present to pop it in.
