Well, i just dl'ed this program called CPUFSB and i go into the fine tuning menu since it is all my pll supports and the program just lets me keep upping the freq as high as I want. I don't dare click the "Freq Set" option, but I am wondering why I am able to adjust it so high. BTW, my default fsb is 200. I have a P4 3.06 HT processor. What should be the upper limit for my fsb? Please help me.

don't know what the program is, but it sounds to me that if you click the "freq set" button, that is the only time when the settings kick in. ergo, if you set it too high, you will immediately freeze the system. as for the upper limit of your FSB, i am not too sure as I am not very familiar with the FSB OC'ability of the intel P4 chips.

Just up it 5-10mhz at a time and use Prime95 or SuperPI 4m to test for stability. If you've got good cooling you can get 3.5+ or more with that chip, you may have to up the CPU volts and the DDRvolts at some point
