Does anyone know if they are going to come out with an Xbox version? Just wondering if I will end up having to upgrade my video card or will I be able to squeak by with an Xbox with sub-par controls for an FPS.

1. You don't NEED to play it to see that it's nothing you haven't seen a million times before.
2. Sorta. A very, very early build of the game got leaked out a year or 2 ago, and I played that. It was quite slow on my Voodoo5.

So half-life was basically the same game as Doom with better graphics. Of course in half-life the story line and game flow was awesome and the AI was much better than doom. Hopefully with Unreal II the story and flow of the game will kick butt and the AI will be greatly improved.

I disagree. Plenty of games look like they will be great, then turn out to be nothing special. Likewise, plenty of games look like they will be nothing special and then turn out to be great. I'll wait until I actually play the final build of the game to make judgements.

I think this is true of Metroid Prime. It looks like any old FPS but has garnered so much acclaim, it must be something special.

IIRC, the first Unreal had pretty immpressive graphics for its day, but was very lacking in the gameplay department. Hopefully they've taken that into consideration this time around.
