unknown flash type

anyone know why i'm getting this error on my iwill kk266

i've had it for a while but no one can seem to come up with a way to fix it.. any help would be appreciate it

You need to provide a lot more info than you have. When and how is this error happening? Is it when you are trying to flash the BIOS? If so, what flash program file are you using and what BIOS file are you using? How are you attempting this (exactly step by step). If this is not while trying to flash, then when is it happening? It could be that you are just using the wrong flash file or BIOS bin file. Maybe you haven't extracted the file. Maybe............you get the idea?

i noticed this when i moved my motherboard from my generic case to my antec case....

i flashed the bios and i didn't have a problem at all... it went smoothly but after moving my motherboard, i noticed that as the computer booted up, the screen said, "unknown flash type"

OK, so this is just something that "flashes" across the screen during boot but the system does boot OK. Is that correct? If so, they what you should try to do is reflash the BIOS. Quite possible something did not overwrite correctly the last time. You might also try to reflash to an older version first and see if the message goes away and then flash back to the new version.
