Unknown flash type

When I boot up my computer it comes up with this after it recognizes my hard drives/cd-rom. It wont allow me to boot from a cd, which is what I need in order to re-install windows. If anyone could help it would be appreciated. Thanks

Something is missing in your note - what it comes up with. But - have you set up your boot sequence in BIOS so that the CD drive is 1st on the list?

It comes up with "unknown flash type" and proceeds to load up to linux. I did make sure that the cd drive is the first to boot up.
