Unknown CPU type - Cache?

Quick question.

I'm running an Albatron KX18D Pro-II with an Athlon XP 2400+ Mobile. It detects the proc as 'Unknown CPU', and I am wondering whether or not it uses its 512k cache?

As I'm managing to push this past 2.3ghz without any real cooling (Cheap-o $8 heatsink), and I could only manage to hit 2.15ghz with an NF7-S and 2.2ghz with the DFI Infinity...I'm rather reluctant to give this particular mobo up. But if it doesn't use the cache onboard....

Anyone know offhand?

why not benchmark it. It will tell you if the 2.3ghz is faster that 2.2ghz

Eh. Was hoping to have some program able to determine that for me.

WCPUID detects the proc + cache correctly, but I've heard that if it is seen as an 'Unknown CPU', it doesn't use the CPU's cache.

download wcpuid, or cpu-z to show how much cache you have

and dont woory about the "unknown cpu" during post, thats is normal on ALL mobile chips running on desktop mobos. thishas already been discussed previously
