"Unknown CPU" slower?

I was just wondering whether it matters that my NF7-S v2 doesn't recognize my mobile athlon xp as such. Does windows xp do anything different because it believes this is an "unknown cpu?" Thanks in advance.

It's the BIOS that doesn't initialize the CPU correctly. You'll get a wrong name string, extensions like SSE not enabled, and if things really get bad, caches disabled.
