Unknow device on P4b266???

When I go into device manager, it always says that I have a unknown device. I have checked and double checked, and every hardware that I installed have the drivers already installed. So what the heck is the unknown device?

I had this "problem" too. I found out it was the USB 2.0 controller. I just clicked update drivers, didn't even put a CD in, and it found them and installed them without having to reboot. I'm on WinXP Pro, too.

Well my USB 2.0 is installed. When I click on update driver, it says that it cant' find the right drivers.

I would just delete it since it serves no purpose and windows is obviously not using it. See if it's redetected at boot.

If it's the USB 2.0 ports you should install them from the CD that came with the mobo. Their location on the CD if you choose to browse its location (the best route) is: (cd-drive letter)\drivers\usb2
