Ok here is the setup:
Host machine running vista ultimate, vmware running on host, win xp x64 running inside vmware, SQL server 05 running in x64. I also have fedora 8 running in vmware as well. I added the x64 sql server to the ODBC sources in vista and can connect via access or sql managment studio in vista. I cannot connect to sql server in fedora via OO-base. I need to add the sql server as a data source but cant seem to get unixODBC manager gui to run. I tried odbc_config from term and get nil. Am I going about this the wrong way? I googled my arse off and cant seem to find a clear tutorial on how to get the sql server into the odbc driver.ini so it will show up in base. I installed unixodbc via software installer in fedora but I think I only got the partial and not any kind of gui. Any help would be appreciated.
