Heya, I was wondering if you or any other users here might be able to tell me where I can get a decent shareware version of a vi editor or equivalent. I write alot of C++ and it makes it like so much easier with an editor. Any ideas would be very helpful.

Install GVIM from a package on your CD.

GVIM (Graphical VI) is very nice!

Indeed he might. Im sorry you hate the program. I hated it too, but once you learn the keystrokes for the prog, its like so freaking easy to knock out a few hundred lines of code. Ive used a pay version of this prog before, but I want something I can throw on my borland enviroment and toy with...

I use Quanta in X. Excellent editor.

BTW I'm still waiting till CONText becomes available for *NIX

I love vi too. There's nothing like it. Very efficient and easy to use, after you learn the basics. Very powerful if you know all the keystrokes.
