Unix and online Gaming

I have a Unix box which i occasionally use for Mudding(i know its old, but i like it). Any on the unix box i run 'Tiny fugue' which blows away the WinX clients.
What i am wondering is, if i made a Unix Partition on my main PC would it do much to my dial up on line gaming>? What would happen with regard to Using My TNT2 under a non-WinX platform?

I think the TNT2 should work??? I don't really know, but I think it works... not sure, though.

hey which unix distribution will you install in
your pc ?
I'm considering the same thing, I think
I'll install Solaris 8 (I think they came
up with pc version and it is free).
