University Application

My friend is applying to a university and he needs a transcript.

However the deadline is in 3 days and he won't have an official transcript to give them because that takes 10 days.

What should he do?

Just mail an unofficial transcript?

Is this a HS transcript? All he has to do is go by the school and get a transcript and have them emboss it with their seal. 😕

College
Transfer

He could probably go to the registrar then. I know at my Uni you can just pop over there and get an official transcript pretty easily.

Just mail the application in, that's the most important. They open a folder once you get the application in and pop in the required documents as they come in. After a week or two you'll get a letter stating that some of the required stuff hasn't come in yet (if so it hasn't) so to make sure everything is in order.

Depends on the school. I know my big huge public state univerity would laugh at you and tell you to read the sign that it takes a week or so. If its some small private high tuition college I'd through a fit and make them do it on the spot. But seriously, your friend should have planned ahead. So I don't feel sorry for him/her and neither should you. Everyone knows that things like letters of rec and scripts can take a while to process. Consider it part of the higher learning weeding system to pluck out the slackers.
