Hello,

I'm looking for a good university with to take a computer science ... my problem is that I'm not a bad student, but my grades are not good ... my GPA is around 2.8 ...

what univer would you recommend(plus it's web-site) that is near(inside) OH preferably , but any other univer would be good too .

Thank you,
bye.

You could always try NC State here in Raleigh, NC. It IS a good engineering / Sciences school (no matter how much i trash it), and they will accept ANYBODY...i mean, even Anand made it into there.

University of Waterloo (here in Ontario, Canada)

Computer Engineering requires a 96%+ average to get in....

If you graduate from this program, you are GUARANTEED a job :)

try University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
JD Edwards throw in a lot of money and start a Honor Program for computer science here. Yes, JD Edwards.

They are building a dorm just to accomodate student in JD Edwards honor program. :)

If thus is for an undergrad degree I would say it does not matter al that much. Just choose one that is close and cheap. If that won't work for you try UIUC.

I'll second the University of Maryland, good CS program as well as Engineering and Business (those are the programs I'm familiar with). Of course its a lot easier to get in if you're from MD, I'd give it a try, with good SAT scores you might be able to get in. I'd get in in ASAP though because like a lot of schools, UMCP has a rolling admission policy.

*obligatory pull for my school*

Go to RPI. Not cheap though, but you could probably get in.
