The POS remote they send with the speakers stopped working for no apparent reason. Is there a way I can get a universal remote to operate the volume on the system? I don't care so much about the settings as I can get off my lazy a$$ and change those. I just don't want to get up every time the commercials get too loud. Thx in advance

I'm hoping for an answer as well.
my remote works but I'd much rather just use a universal remote instead of that ugly thing.

Thinking of going home and trying every remote combination to see if any work with the logitech.

All Harmony remotes should be pre-programmed for your z-5500.

AFAIK, all universal remotes ever made can be manually programmed for any A/V device. You only need to have a (working) compatible remote for doing the programming.

In other words, find any working Logitech remote control, and program your universal remote.
