Universal external connector ata/sata ?

Any recommendations? I got 30-40 old harddrives lying around from 20GB and up, I want to toss them but cant get my self to just drill them without knowing for sure whats on them.
Does anyone know of an universal external connector, usb, that takes all generations of ata and sata?

Yeah, they make them. They come with a USB dongle, with IDE and SATA ports on them, and a power port, that you have to connect an included wall-wort power supply.
