Anyone watch this Frontline special yesterday? I am a big fan of Frontline journalism.
The information covered is scary. We know most of what is discussed, but their timeline is powerful. It discusses the Gestapo-like (my word, not theirs) tactics used by the Bush administration to cover up their violations of the constitution. It doesn't cover enough of Obama's continuation of the cover-up, but there is a part 2 coming.

If only some responsible would get kicked out of office immediately regardless of excuses or positions, maybe we wouldn't keep seeing recurring trends of govt officials and agencies doing shady or immoral things.

Yep very insightful show, where is the outrage of the folks involved in the wiretapping scandal?
Where is the congressional committee looking into the lies and laws broken?

Cheney - this guys is truly scary.
Bush
Gonzales
Rice
Michael Hayden -
General Alexander

All these people should of been indicted and thrown in jail imo. Many even gleefully admitted to twisting the law to get what they want.

Oh yea Obama should not get a free pass on this either just that the original folks are imo the more diabolical. Also nice to see heroes risking long careers trying to make things right, gives me some hope in our gov.

BTW part II is next week: How Silicon Valley Feeds the NSA’s

On May 20, FRONTLINE investigates what the tech industry said when the NSA came knocking.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/united-states-of-secrets/ <--- Trailer inside

You've seen the history of how the Bush administration launched an unprecedented surveillance campaign after 9/11 at the National Security Agency, and how Obama later expanded what had become known as “The Program.”

Now find out how the NSA got all that data.

On May 20, FRONTLINE continues the story of mass surveillance in America in part two of United States of Secrets, an investigation into the secret relationship between Silicon Valley and the National Security Agency.

Companies like Google and Facebook gather massive amounts of data on its users around the world, which they use to sell and create advertisements. To the U.S. government, it is a treasure-trove of information that regularly reveals what we do, who we know and where we go.

The revelations by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden helped to uncover the role the tech industry played — at times unwittingly, but often with consent — in the NSA’s massive dragnet.

So how did the tech giants react when the government asked them to turn over data on millions of ordinary American citizens? And how much do companies like Google, Facebook and Yahoo really know about you?

Find out on May 20 starting at 10 p.m. EST on most PBS stations. (Check local listings.) Watch the trailer above.

The purpose of all of this isn't to "fight terrorism", it's to ensure that the Statist oligarchy stays in power.

people still dont understand what prism really is...

it's not a codename..

it's literally a glass prism inline with the fiber backbones... basically a splitter for the light, one beam continues on as if the prism wasn't even there, the other goes to the nsa data warehouses, where they emulate social media (as in the whole facebook/google/twitter infrastructure) and then it is cataloged by date and if you're interesting enough, user)

literally every keystroke.

think of what can be done with that...

they dont even NEED cooperation from the social media networks... they CAN BE the social media network...they just emulate it

people have been telling about this stuff for literally years,

*tinfoil hat* people that is.

I actually have alufoil right here on my desk, played with the cellphone and ofcourse "the number is not available at the moment please try later ..."

What the jokers of tin-foil hat people (an imaginary group, or just dumb basement dwellers) don't know is, that nobody with a brain uses tinfoil hats, it doesn't work and it never did, it was probably a type of false-flag to make some losers actually believe into it and that's how it got picked up by the media, the whole thing was designed to be used for smearing REAL conspiracy researchers, but not really to make fun of them, it's a trigger for the sheeple to dismiss and not look further, it's a weapon used against genuine conspiracy research, the victims don't realize they are the only ones really being joked on, because both the good side and the evil side know the truth, the joke always on the sheeple, and the sheeple always lose the most.

Later, the "conspiracy theorist" term has matured enough as a trigger-dismiss code, when a sheeple sees this, their attention span immediately shrinks, any further attempt to look at the stuff the to check it out is unlikely, the get to a conclusion on the spot and switch to the insult mode.

And actually, it can amplify the radio waves because the waves would bounce from the foil and those that would go pass the skull are more likely to go through it.

What you need is this, that's the real deal http://www.yshield.com/canopies.html

The prices start from 800 Euros to something like 2000 €.

But you also need the floor mat that is placed under the bed, to connect it to the mesh canopie above, and for the proper effect, the floor mat is then connected with a wire to the ground and properly grounded to the earth, which is why, the tinfoilhats are a total joke, not only it's not enclosed, it's not grounded either, unless you actually put on a special meshsuit and have a wire walking with you.

The bed canopy is the best investment for starters and limited funds, because human brain is more vulnerable to electromagnetic radiation.

But I don't have the money for it, so I was with a very optimistic enthusiasm, trying to see if i can do anything at all with alufoil, maybe at least block some of the direct waves coming from the celltower, to make them bounce away a bit.

Thanks for sharing, I will watch it. No wonder so many of our youth today are killing themselves, they feel they have nothing to live for, and a country not worth a damn to live in anymore.
