Interesting. I'm trying to picture a Mongolian national park.. "1700 years ago today, Ghengis Khan was born in a tent in this field.." - Park Ranger Temujin

UN is primarly a place for all the nations to come to gether and talk, without the UN there would be far less comunications between many countries. So having the support of the UN kinda means you have the support of the world.
Also the UN is responsible for sooo many other things, it is far more important than most people realise

The U.N. is clearly run by the USA. Just look at the repeated votes on chastigating Israel for severe human rights violations ... yet, surprisingly, thanks to the USA's sway vote, nothing happens :-/

In my opinion it's just one step closer to a one world government, it's run by socialists. In reality they have no real power

The UN is merely symbolic of cooperation. Or if you study the truth, then the UN is merely symbolic of the lack of justice. As all UN accords are just agreements they really have no meaning in the real world. If they did we wouldn't permit NK to starve their people. We wouldn't let Textile Merchants exploit cheap labor as in sweatshops. We wouldn't let the minority run over the majority simply because they are fewer in numbers.
The UN is flawed with the absence of God. It seeks to reason with human beings using human thought and philosophy. It believes that all men are good when even modern history proves that idea to be false. The UN is much like a military treating it's Five Star, War torn, Generals in the exact same way it treats 1 day recruits. They are clearly not equal in character, yet they are equal in voice.

I mean NK kicks out the UN Nuclear observers and they have to have a meeting to see what to do about it? I basically see the UN as allowing any bully in the world to do whatever
because no one really give's a rat's ass about anything.

Nope. I don't want to put Religion in the UN. I think the UN seeks to remove Religion from us. 90% of the world believes in God yet God is absent from 80% of the world's governments. God told man to trust in him. God gave man commandments that asked us not to kill eachother, steal from eachother and to love our neighbor, yet man claims these accomplishments for himself.so you want to put religion into the UN, christianity, islam, judiasm, buddism and so on and on?

The UN is an answer to a problem. That problem is/was lack of communication between nations to resolve differences. My view is that the world has taken the view that we need the UN, however what we really need is to trust in God. How can 90% of the world trust in God yet our governments do not and will not reflect our faith? That an easy question to answer, God has been run out of town by that leftover 10%. God's laws have been replaced by the laws of Men.Originally posted by: Czar

so you want the UN to put religion into other governments?
Man has no need for the UN. We could have six UNs or ten EUs or 1 world government and the world would still have Kim Jong Ils and Osama Bin Ladens and President Bushes. Stacking governmental bodies does not solve problems. Faith on the otherhand solves the big problem, imperfect men.
