United Mileage Plus...

So i got an offer in the mail for some CC that comes with 20,000 United Mileage Plus "Miles." I have checked everywhere (even checked the offical members manual on redeeming "miles."), but i cant find a real value for these "miles." I just want to know how "miles" correspond to $$$ because obviously these are not actual miles. Deceitful fvkers! :|

* Just noticed this in the fine print: The miles referred to are not actual miles but represent Mileage Plus credits.... Funny how that is the ONLY time the word "miles" occurs with the word "credits."

the reason it says credits is because they are not EQM, they don't qualify you for elite status. 25,000 miles = 1 saver award

In english please?

All i want to know is how many "miles" == $1. That way i can figure out how many "miles" would be required for a given flight. If i can get a free flight just for having anther CC for 6 months im all over that.

Did you read his post? 25,000 miles = 1 ticket.

Yes, i read his post and couldnt make any sense of it. Hence the "In english please?" response. What the hell is EQM? Whats elite status? Whats a "saver award?" It cant be that 1 saver award means 1 ticket ANYWHERE united flies.

When you fly, you get points for how many miles you fly, not how much you spend on tickets -- therefore it's not exactly relevant to ask how much each "mile" is worth.

And 25k usually gets you a domestic ticket.
