these guys gave a presentation at the university today, and i mentioned my ongoing quest to find a distributed computing project that would run on my geforce, after all, its not doing anything right now. one of the guys (they're mostly ex-setiathome guys) told me he had patents for that sorta thing, and if i could find a buncha users interested in it they'd write a client for it. so maybe we should mass email them that we'd like to do cancer research on our geforces.

I'm probably going to put the GeForce 2 on my Christmas list, so I'd happily let it crunch something (when I'm not playing something constructive, like Unreal Tournament...)
