Yeah right, maybe in a year or two I'll be a threat 😉 And that's if I don't have days like today (3200 points 😱) If I wanted to catch up to you in any real amount of time, I'd need to get my super stack idea going (lots of moderately powerful, cheap computers in as small of an area as possible), or start selling a whole bunch more computers. (most of my devices are computers I've sold to other people)

actually I was just kidding around referring to my 5-speed shifter.

and Kloostec, Don't sell yourself short. The only reason I am producing as I am right now is because my daughter wanted her computer upgraded for her birthday, which in turn led my wife to request one also.

Right now in my home office I have 4 PC's running 24/7. One is my personal PC which, of course I will always have. The others are made up of old parts from upgrades. Actually one of them I bought a new case for last week since it is still a decent computer (Athlon 950/ Asus A7V-133) Currently it is giving me fits with heat problems.(I only spent $33.00US on the case) Even with 4 case fans (generic LED ones) the MB thermistor is reading around 39C. It was crashing when one of it's 3 hard disks was overheating. Now I understand why the side fan is rests against the molex connectors for the disks.
But, irreguardless, I won't be spending much $$ on any of these"spare" computers. If one goes down, others will inherit a few more parts.

heh...just now UDMonitor shut down the box with the heat probs. Time to get out my box of fans and see if I can drop the temp some more. 🙂

Assuming that you all of a sudden stop producing today, and I continue along at my average (4088, thanks CyGoR 😉 ), it will take me 314 days to catch up. The difference in our averages is only 123 points, so it will take a *lot* longer than that if we continue producing at our current rates. I see about two years if I continue to add PCs that I've sold...

I'm taking bets on when, btw 😉

It's really impressive that you have just those few boxes running and you're scoring what you are. I've got the following hardware (some guesstimated because it's been so long since I sold them): 3x XP 2100+/512 meg, XP 2700+/1024 meg (640 in vmware), 2x 1600+/512 meg, 2400+/512 meg, 3x duron 1100/256 meg, duron 900/128 meg, 2x athlon 1200/256 meg, athlon xp 2600+/512 meg, duron 900/512 meg, xp 2500+/1024 meg. Granted, not all of them are on all the time (I have no control over my clients' computing habits)... The best part is that I pay for electricity for zero of these computers 😉

The Duron 800/512 meg in my server can't participate, because it's a cli linux server. So it chews away at S@H instead 😉

May be adding two more 2500+'s soon... The one I just sold is creating some talk on the other side of the building I work in 😀

Yay, I was a "big flusher" today! ... but it's 6 am and I should probably be getting some sleep pretty soon.

Actually I do have more than those boxes. Those are all in one room.
Here is the whole list:

All with cable internet.

Seven of eight total are in my house. One is a Dell at mom's house.

Oh BTW- I figured out my heat problem on my TBird. 🙂 It was the old Enhance 300W power supply. I swapped in a Sunon fan and MB temperature dropped almost 10C. Heck it was getting up to 41-42C, and then the drive with windows installed would crash.

Well...I am going to find out tommorrow if I need heat in my office. It is supposed to get down to freezing or thereabouts tonight. Two days ago it was getting up to 85F and it was hot in here. That is with 4 of the computers in one room. Three are upstairs in bedrooms. I have them all connect with CAT 5 Ethernet 100BaseT. It's great for lan gaming! 🙂

Woohoo! My internet provider just upped my connection speed from 768kbit to 1mbit 😀 And more then doubled the upload speed, for free!!
By the way, the webserver is not on my connection, it has an 8mbit connection..
